I had decided to set off on a trip early the next morning, and there was no time to put together a proper breakfast, so I came out to Tokyo Station to buy some bread.
VIRON
It has the feel of a Paris bistro. The bread is on the pricey side, but the bistro itself is reasonably priced. I picked up some bread that would do for breakfast and headed back.

The first floor is still the station building, but the second floor and up have become a hotel. The atmosphere is really wonderful.

This is the kind of rebuilding you want to see. And the hotel secures some profitability too.

Apricot tart
It tastes fine, but the price is considerable. I bought a sandwich too, but ate it before taking a photo. VIRON’s bread is of course top-level in Tokyo, but these days I am hooked on the bread at Pelican, so it did not feel as amazing as it used to. I suspect I will be going there less and less from now on.
