A little while ago I heard that a dessert specialty shop had opened near Dosan Park. The concept is that the owner herself makes the desserts live, right there at the counter, which is rather nice. I’ve been doing the rounds of dessert shops lately, so I went as part of that.
The interior is very clean and tidy.
The inside is a little small to call it a cafe. It’s a good spot for quietly enjoying dessert with friends.
The menu
The menu is an iPad. You can look at photos too. The most famous thing on the menu is the meringue, but I got there so late that I couldn’t try it. I need to go back, but I just can’t find the time.
Natural salted caramel ice cream with roasted banana and hazelnut crumble
A dessert with a beautiful presentation. It takes a lot of time and effort to put together, but I felt it was short on sweetness.
Soufflé
Another stylish dish, but there wasn’t much character to the flavor. The soufflé didn’t impress me much at Pierre Gagnaire either, so it’s not really this shop I should be blaming..
A seasonal fruit dessert, on the house
I actually enjoyed this one more than the previous two. It looks simple, but it’s a dessert that needs a lot of prep work, and it’s really impressive that one woman runs a place like this on her own.
Exterior
That’s roughly the atmosphere of the place. I’d like to try the meringue that’s supposed to be the best thing here, but I don’t know whether I’ll have a reason to go back. I really need to get some free time soon.
