After dinner, as if it were the most natural thing in the world, we headed for a dessert shop. It’s called Histoire d’Ange, and apparently there are several branches; I went to the one behind the Cheonggiwa gas station.

The sign

The Histoire d’Ange sign doesn’t really stand out. At first I thought it was just a regular cafe.

Fromage

It’s billed as an Italian dessert specialist, so I was curious what it would taste like, and it’s rich, just as you’d expect from European desserts. A pretty ordinary cheesecake, I’d say.

Maresho Passion

I think there was mango in it, or at least it tasted of tropical fruit, and it was wonderfully refreshing. I’d put it among the top desserts you can get in Korea. I really liked it.

Ange

The house signature. You’re supposed to crack the round thing on top and eat it, but to my taste it was just so-so… I’m a picky guy like that.

Tea

You can chat over a cup of tea. It was so cold that day that I had no desire to go back outside, so we sat there as long as we could.

We moved on to 2chef.

Some simple nibbles to go with it.

Steak

The steak at 2chef never disappoints. Probably because they buy in good cuts.

Goats do Roam

It’s an unusual-looking wine and I’d been curious about it for a while; tasting it, it’s really lovely. Even setting value for money aside, it’s a good wine. And as we drank, another day came to an end like this.
