Here are the photos I took on the way down from the Philosopher’s Path, past Heian Jingu Shrine, to Kyoto City Hall. The whole city is overflowing with cherry blossoms. This is why Kyoto in season is such a joy.
Weeping cherry (shidarezakura)
I couldn’t tell whether it was a private house or a temple, but it was blooming like this somewhere you can’t go inside.
The back street of the Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art
Somehow it felt a little lonely..
Behold, a baseball field
Looks like a Little League game was in full swing.
Sakura right in front of the Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art
Sakura at Heian Jingu
Cherry blossoms I shot after passing Heian Jingu
Even the ordinary roadside cherry trees are beautiful.
A quiet park scene
Cherry blossoms shot in passing
Snapped while walking…
A park whose name I don’t know
Cherry blossoms in that nameless park
Hydroelectric power station
It looks like a place with a lot of history. Who knew there was an eco-friendly hydroelectric plant right in the middle of the city..
Cherry blossoms nearby
The Kamo River
Cherry blossoms on the Kamo River
Stepping stones across the Kamo River
It looks quiet and peaceful.
I just wandered wherever my feet took me and snapped away, but Kyoto in season really is wonderful. I’m already looking forward to this autumn.
