I love walking streets I’ve never been to before. Everything unfamiliar and new just fascinates me somehow, and none of it scares me in the slightest. Maybe I’ve got a wandering streak in my nature. When I keep walking the streets right up until the last train, my scattered thoughts sort themselves out and new ideas pop into my head. Then I get home, feel satisfied with the day’s haul, and sleep like a log. Ah… if taxis were cheap I could roam around without worrying about the last train, but that’s not the case around here at all. Still, the trains run until past midnight, so the time limit has hardly ever felt like a burden.
Oimachi scenery
It must have been a little after 8. The sky was dark as if it might rain any minute, but a corner of it glowed orange, probably from the lights of the harbor.
Probably the best shot I took that day.
This is one I want to show off and share. What do you think?
A bridge on Kaigan-dori, Tokyo
Another one from on the bridge
Tennozu’s restaurant strip
It’s hard to get to because the transport links are poor, but it’s a great spot. One of the places where Tokyo’s trendy crowd hangs out.
Shinagawa scenery
Getting around here isn’t convenient and housing isn’t cheap either, but it made me think I’d like to live here at least once.
A bridge
The hot beer bar & restaurant around here.
People say the food isn’t great for the price, but it still made me want to go in. I bet the atmosphere is fantastic.
Scenery
The waterfront promenade
If it hadn’t been raining there would have been lots of people, but today there’s no one.
Bridge scenery
The seaside park
I wonder what I was thinking about while looking at scenery like this…
Tokyo Tower seen from Shinagawa Station
Carrying just one lens is a real pain at moments like this. But traveling with two is way too heavy, so I just have to settle for this. It really was a magical view, though.
