Kameido Horumon has a branch in Ebisu, which I visited before and enjoyed. This time I went with a different group.
Bean sprouts
I go here so often that writing it up feels like a chore.. so this is going to be a quick one.
Beef tongue
Nikomi (offal stew)
The one we always order..
Senmai (tripe)
It was a recommended item so we tried it, and it is good.
Liver
Harami (skirt steak)
Gatsu-sashi (boiled pork stomach)
First time ordering it, and it turned out to be boiled offal. Probably no need to order it again.
Horumon
Pork tongue and tontoro
Horumon
Horumon
Jo-kalbi (premium short rib)
We ate until we were stuffed and it came to under 4,000 yen a head. Portions are slightly smaller than at the main shop, but hey, it is Ebisu.
These days Kameido Horumon is not getting the top-grade meat it used to. I hear the main shop is the same. So satisfaction has dropped a notch, but the value for money is still great. Gourmets probably do not need to make a special trip, though.
