Dosanko Ramen is a pretty standard chain. It’s located near the national highway bypass, a bit away from Oroshi Honmachi, and it seems to have quite a bit of history. It has that cozy, local hangout vibe.

The place

I came here because there weren’t many good places to eat in Oroshi Honmachi, and the atmosphere isn’t bad at all. Since it’s winter, I’ve been craving miso ramen.

Miso Ramen

It looks pretty plain on the outside, but the taste is definitely that of a proper miso ramen. While the miso ramen I had at Shinki recently was perfect in both looks and taste, this one feels a bit haphazard in presentation, but the flavor is still good. Plus, the portion size is generous, so I can see why people like it.

Looks like they keep things clean and efficient. Anyway, it’s nice that even a local chain can serve decent ramen. There’s a difference compared to the famous spots, but it really comes down to whether you want to travel far for that difference or just eat something good near home.
