Shine Muscat raisins and umeboshi
I got these as a gift and they’re delicious. The sweetness is insane. They’re great on their own, but I think they’d work well in desserts too.
Premium Gacha Shop
Looks like gacha has fully settled into Korea now…
Zha cai
I bought this in Daerim and the value for money is great. Since you don’t really find this kind of mala flavor in the zha cai sold in Korea, it’s worth buying specifically for that. It kind of feels like being in China…
Salted Pollock
This one is just okay, pretty average. If you live alone, it might be a decent emergency food supply…
Dried Passion Fruit
They sell this in Korea too! But honestly, the ones bought from China taste better…
Breathalyzer
I just bought one on a whim for the end of the year. It works fine, but the problem is I forget to use it once I’ve actually been drinking… Still, I learned one thing: surprisingly, you can hit the license-revocation level even without drinking much. A couple of beers, a bit of soju… you can feel perfectly fine, but the breathalyzer says you’re at the level of losing your license. So even one drink can be dangerous… I didn’t realize the standards were this strict…
The Science of Cleaning
This is a book written by Nokdu-janggun and it’s interesting. I had no idea they were so well-versed in the humanities. You can get a lot of information on cleaning and learn effective methods, so it’s a good read for general knowledge.
Godiva Bakery
Even the great Godiva sells salt bread and croissants once they come to Korea…
Hannam Buk-eo-guk
This place has moved into The Hyundai too…
Pink’s
Looks like a hot dog place, but they were still preparing for the opening…
Shake Shack
This place has opened here too…
Frozen food from the mart
I saw Ajinomoto gyoza and bought some, and the taste is pretty good. They’re easy to make. I used to eat them often in Japan because they were cheap, but in Korea, the price is a bit high to do that… though they’re still worth having once in a while…
Calvados
These are chocolates containing Calvados, and they’re quite tasty.
Wang Ramen Soup
Bought this at Daiso. It’s just the soup base… I thought it would be nice to drink when it’s cold in winter, so I bought it… but I’ve been too lazy to actually try it…
