Lin Gongzi Myeonkwan in Daerim

Lin Gongzi Myeonkwan is a dumpling and noodle specialist inside Daerim Market.

This is the place..

Lingungju myeonkwan.

Looks like they have a few branches as well.

Inside

Lingungju myeonkwan.

You can order just fine even if you do not know any Chinese.

The menu

The prices are fine. Maybe not if you think about what it costs in China, but this is Korea..

Pork mala noodles

Lingungju myeonkwan.

Pretty much the same as the real thing in China, I think. The noodles have a nice chew, and the broth has a sharp heat that warmed me right up.

The noodles

Lingungju myeonkwan.

They pull them well.

Chive, shrimp and pork steamed dumplings

Lingungju myeonkwan.

Piping hot and packed full, so a splash of soy sauce was all they needed.

Inside

Lingungju myeonkwan.

Plenty of shrimp in there.

Water is self-serve

The market

Lingungju myeonkwan.

So many things I want to try.

Durian Empire

Lingungju myeonkwan.

Turns out they have one in Daerim too.

Shaoxing wine

Lingungju myeonkwan.

It is tasty warmed up, and it goes really well with Chinese food. Great with dumplings too. It is delicious, but not many people seem to know about it..

Pomelo

Lingungju myeonkwan.

There are only a few pieces and it costs 8,000 won, so it is pricey, but I bought some for the experience, and it tastes like heaven. I had always skipped it because I assumed it would just be sour like grapefruit, but there is no sourness at all, just a clean, almost transparent sweetness. Imagine how good juice made from this would be.. I really should have learned a thing or two before going to China..
