There is a Nagasaki champon specialist in Shinbashi. In the evening it is mainly an izakaya, and at lunch they serve champon and sara udon.

There tends to be a bit of a line. It is not that you cannot get champon in the evening, but the catch is that you have to order drinks or some small dishes to have it. Not a big deal, though.

This thick, rich soup is the highlight. It is so good that I cannot even recall what Korean jjamppong soup tastes like. The noodles and the toppings are top class too, and with flavor like this I doubt it would be any better even in Nagasaki itself. I have found myself a real gem of a place..
