On the way back from L’atelier de Plaisir I made a quick stop at Komaba-Todaimae. There was one more place I wanted to see.
An ultra town
This is Soshigaya-Okura Station, said to be the birthplace of Ultraman.
The University of Tokyo research institute in Komaba
I just dropped in while passing by, but the presence of this place is no joke.
The building
I guess you need history to get a presence like this.
No idea who this is..
A modern research building
The lawn
The atmosphere is just lovely. If you went to a school like this, would school pride come welling up on its own..
The goal this time, Seikotei
The main Seikotei shop turned out to be much smaller than I expected. Maybe there was no need to make a special trip for it.
Inside the University of Tokyo’s Komaba campus
I had no idea the University of Tokyo was in this neighborhood, but once inside, it is really well kept.
Inside
Inside
The buildings are so well done. It got me thinking that this is how education ought to be.
And so the Setagaya trip I had planned came to a safe end.
The haul from Seikotei
It is a picture book, and it is just gorgeous. You could call it an illustrator’s collection. They sold cups too, but they were a whole 2,500 yen..
The summer-only illustration
Ahh.. so cute.
Dressing
I have been putting it to good use whenever I eat salad at home.
