The person I was drinking with loves single malts, so we headed to a bar in Tokyo famous for its single malts. It’s a tight little place, by the way.. From what I heard, quite a few celebrities come through, but it’s not like I’m a regular there..

The highlight of the night, Caol Ila for TWH
Even totally hammered, I could still tell this one was delicious. The balance was perfect, beautifully so. I think this is the kind of taste that gets people hooked on whisky. I’d love to share the thrill back in Korea, but it’s not an easy whisky to get hold of..

It was a bit weak, though.. Whiskies over 30 years are probably best saved for a session of their own.
We really drank a huge range of whiskies, but the first stop was so heavy that I don’t remember much. Next time I’ll have to take it a bit easier.
