I had been really busy since getting back from Japan, but one evening I suddenly found myself free. I had not had a proper foodie outing in days, so I seized the moment and dashed out to Bundang Pyeongyang Myeonok, a place I had been meaning to try.

It is fully automated. The very front and very back seats are great for taking photos.

Even after reaching Bundang I still had a fair way to go. I made it before closing time anyway. Living in Gangnam makes getting to Bundang easy, which is nice.

Myeonsu, the noodle water

To be honest.. the myeonsu was nothing special, but I was surprised at how spotless the interior was. It reminded me of the Pyeongyang Myeonok in Nonhyeon-dong that I go to often.

Tasty, but a little lacking somehow.. it made me miss Nonhyeon-dong.

Pyeongyang naengmyeon

The broth is pure Pyeongyang Myeonok style. They said it was new-crop buckwheat so I had high hopes, but I could not really pick up the buckwheat aroma. Maybe the cold weather had done something to my nose.

Thinking about the trek it took to get all the way to Bundang, I doubt I will be going back. I should make time to drop by the Nonhyeon-dong Pyeongyang Myeonok instead.
