Sakaiminato is close to Yonago Airport, so it’s a handy place to stop by when you’re seeing someone off at the airport. It fit my route perfectly this time too, so I dropped in, but… these days the TV drama set in this town, GeGeGe no Nyobo, is a big hit, and tourists were pouring in. So I couldn’t get into the place I’d originally planned to go to. -_- I looked around for somewhere else and ended up at a conveyor-belt sushi place.
An exhibition at the Adachi Museum of Art
This is a poster I happened across while wandering around near the market. The Adachi Museum of Art is showing a painting I love. It’s called Utatane, “a doze,” and it has a dreamy feel to it. It’s shown at its actual size, which I think makes that feeling even stronger. I really should go see it during the New Year holidays. (In the end I couldn’t make it because of the snow…)
Anyway, I waited in line for ages to eat sushi. And when I finally got a seat…

Shouldn’t Apple give them an award or something? Maybe because it’s wireless, the response wasn’t all that fast. There’s a slight lag, but it was no real problem to use.
Seared nodoguro
It’s a bit pricey, but in winter it has to be seared nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) sushi. I’d been disappointed when Naniwa Sushi didn’t have it, but luckily I got to eat it at a conveyor-belt place.

Ebi
It’s conveyor-belt sushi, but maybe because it’s right by the port, the fish is fresh and tasty. For the price, it’s the best. I ate well and headed straight to the airport, and it took less than 10 minutes. Glad I didn’t fall behind schedule.
