Pain de Co, a Bakery in Seongsu-dong

I’ve been visiting Pain de Echo for a long time, and they’ve been expanding and moving into some really wonderful spaces. I hadn’t had a chance to visit their new location yet, so I finally made some time to stop by.

The place

Pain de echo.

It looks absolutely luxurious. It’s great to see them moving into a better spot because business is booming.

Jams

Pain de echo.

They sell a wide variety.

Breads

Pain de echo.

You can definitely feel the difference in level. There aren’t many bakeries in Korea that make bread this well.

Breads

Pain de echo.

Looks like they’re waiting for a batch?

Breads

Pain de echo.

I’m having a hard time deciding what to buy.

Breads

Pain de echo.

Everything just looks delicious…

Slicing

Pain de echo.

They slice it by hand instead of using a machine.

Cookies

Pain de echo.

Loaves

Pain de echo.

They carry these kinds of loaves too.

Drawing

Pain de echo.

So cute…

Interior

Pain de echo.

It’s wonderful.

Chocolat Baguette

Pain de echo.

The Chocolat Baguette contains not just chocolate, but also cinnamon and dried fruits. If you like dessert-style treats like fondant au chocolat, this is a must-try. This baguette was so delicious that I started looking for chocolate baguettes at other bakeries, but not many places do it as well as they do.

Naomi

Pain de echo.

They say it was made for the baker’s beloved wife… I could really taste the savory flavor of the nuts.

Rye Bread

Pain de echo.

It was a savory style without any sourness.

The quality is so high that it truly lives up to its reputation. I absolutely loved it.
