I went to Baeksong in Gwanghwamun, famous for its suyuk (boiled beef). The place does such a roaring trade that I had to wait quite a while before I could eat.

Suyuk, small size
At over 50,000 won a plate it is a bit steep, but you can tell they use good quality meat to match.
The broth
They serve seolleongtang broth on the house, and if you add the green onions and the leftover suyuk and order a bowl of rice, it turns into a makeshift seolleongtang. So the 50,000 won suyuk is not all that expensive after all.. The biggest problem with this place is that the suyuk is so good it calls for daytime drinking. This day too, I had a beer starting in the afternoon.
